As the founder and driving force behind Avafina Organics, Laura has transformed a bold idea into a thriving enterprise. Today, Avafina Organics stands as a leading supplier of premium organic ingredients and an innovator in plant-based foods, with beloved creations like Chiaviar – a functional chia spread inspired by traditional caviar and Queen Cheeses, non dairy cheeses made with organic cashews redefining what plant-based living can taste like.
Laura’s commitment goes far beyond the business. She has devoted her life to working directly with organic farmers, supporting sustainable agriculture, and staying connected to every part of the food chain. Her mission is clear: to inspire healthier lifestyles and foster a deeper awareness of how organic, plant-based choices can heal both our bodies and the Earth.
Backed by a Bachelor's degree in International Business and Economics from UADE in Buenos Aires, Laura has continued her education at institutions including New York University, the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, the Optimum Health Institute, and Cornell University. Her continued studies reflect a deep commitment to lifelong learning, with a particular focus on plant-based nutrition, natural hygiene, and mitochondrial health—areas she believes are key to personal vitality and planetary well-being.

Laura’s journey into raw, plant-based living began in 2005 at the Optimum Health Institute in San Diego. It was there that she experienced a profound “food awakening,” discovering the transformative power of raw, living foods. This revelation forever shifted her perspective on health and nourishment.
Inspired and energized, Laura began experimenting in her kitchen—creating seed-based cheeses, dehydrating vegetables, and fermenting nuts. She quickly felt the vibrant benefits of incorporating more “alive” foods into her daily life and became passionate about sharing that vitality with others.
These early culinary explorations became the foundation for what is now our signature line of organic, plant-based spreads: Chiaviar and Queen Cheeses. Crafted from simple, wholesome ingredients, our spreads are designed to nourish your body the way nature intended—using only organic, plant-based components without preservatives, additives, or anything artificial.
